OUR STORY

Doug started climbing at the Gunks in his free time when working on his Ph. D. at CUNY in New York and soon became a dedicated trad climber. After moving to Chicago, Red River Gorge became his go to climbing destination. Over the years and many trips to KY, Stacy and Doug discovered Cliffview, a rustic resort tucked away off of Route 715 in Campton, KY. It was rustic and charming and dotted with cabins just 14 minutes from Muir Valley. They found some land on the Resort that they had come to love and Diamond in the Red came to life.

Stacy is a package designer and to date calls Diamond in the Red, ‘My biggest package yet.”
